Designed to blend seamlessly with the existing home

This aging-in-place home addition in Jefferson Maryland was thoughtfully designed to blend seamlessly with the existing home. While also providing long-term comfort, accessibility, and functionality for our clients.

The ground-level extension features white vinyl siding, black shutters, and a brick foundation that perfectly match the original structure. This makes the addition look as though it has always been part of the home. Careful attention was given to rooflines, window proportions, and exterior details to maintain architectural continuity and curb appeal.

Age in place comfortably

Designed specifically to support aging in place, this home extension adds valuable first-floor living space. This allows our homeowners to remain comfortably in their home for years to come. Large windows bring in natural light, while the layout supports accessibility, safety, and everyday convenience.

This was our clients feedback after this aging-in-place home addition project was completed.

“We wanted to age in place in our existing home, so we decided to add a ground floor master suite with an accessible bathroom, a laundry closet, walk-in closet, and a bump out solarium/seating area. Our charge to Talon was that the addition should look like it had always been there, and it does.

From our first contact to the project’s completion, everyone at Talon was superb. It was almost like they were family. Great communication from all concerned every step of the way and they went above and beyond to ensure that there was a minimal disruption to our daily lives.

By the time the project was completed, the addition looks like it has always been there and we love it. If we ever have another project, Talon will be our first call.”

This project is a great example of Talon Construction’s expertise in custom home additions, aging-in-place renovations, and seamless exterior integration for homeowners in Frederick County and the surrounding Maryland area.
