Sunroom Addition remodel with a view

“We hired Talon for a major home remodel in the Frederick/Myersville area – removing the roof of our great room, adding a vaulted ceiling and installing large custom windows and eight foot sliding glass doors along with new flooring, drywall, trim and painting.

Prior to signing with Talon, we had multiple quotes. While Talon was not the cheapest option, the design team (Darren) was a step above the competitors. He spent the time helping us understand the process and worked with us to design the perfect space. We received detailed visual schematics which helped us understand what the final result would be. The Talon team working onsite was very professional, and their Portfolio was impressive. Which gave us confidence that they had the experience to get the job done.

The end result was perfect, high quality and very close to the original design we envisioned. With any large project we expected some changes throughout the process and Talon worked closely with us to create the room we envisioned. Ed also spent time with us at the end of the project to walk through the project and make sure we were satisfied – that meant a lot. Overall we highly recommend Talon.”

“I had an overall wonderful experience with Talon. I wanted a small 800 SQF ADU built on my property for future rental income and family flexibility. From the initial meeting with Brian, the floorplan and design phase was seamless and efficient. Once the project got started I had fantastic communication and support from the foreman James. I can’t imagine a more customer focused and knowledgeable person for this role. He was incredible to work with and I knew where I stood at each phase of the project with an e-mail at the beginning of each week. And  with a status update and plans moving forward. The few times there were hick-ups in the process James quickly brought in the supervisor, Paul who was helpful in solving the problems and getting back on track.

If I ever am in need of an expansion or renovation on my house in the future I would not hesitate to call Talon. Extremely pleased with the entire team. Give them a shout if you need work done, you won’t be disappointed.”

Darren and Jenny guided us through the design and contract definition phase. James as our project supervisor, who saved the day on many occasions providing solutions, workarounds, flexibility, all with a positive attitude for 16 weeks – including three snowstorms that challenged all of us. Jake and Luis were an incredibly efficient team during demolition, build up, and cabinet install.

This was a complete tear down and reconstruction of our kitchen and it was completed with minimal delays (mostly weather related), on budget and we couldn’t be more pleased with the result. All projects have issues and when they happen, the crews and back-office work professionally to determine the best path forward for everyone involved (not just the company). They work on their reputation and will go above and beyond to protect it. They won’t be the cheapest, but if you believe “you get what you pay for” Talon is worth it.”

“You guys, Jake, Luis and Carl and the rest of the crew made this bathroom project go so smoothly. The work was outstanding! All the vendors were a pleasure to work with and provided excellent service and ideas.  Special shoutout to Vince for this outstanding re-design. He listened and taking the wall down to a knee wall was a solution I never realized was possible, but it absolutely makes the space. The bathroom is so much more open, and everyone is just stunned at the change.

My original goal was a basic to medium cost remodel for a more open brighter bathroom, super easy to clean with some accessibility features for aging in place.  I kept the suggested basics, but stretched the budget upgrading the plumbing fixtures, the bathroom hardware and the sconces. What can I say? I regret nothing! Y’all gave me a good foundation that allowed me to decide what was important. This will be a bathroom my husband and I can use and enjoy and finally a deeper tub that isn’t rusty! My guests will love it! The grandkids will love it. I smile every time I walk in there!

“If I could give Talon Construction more than five stars, I absolutely would. From the very beginning, the entire team was professional, coordinated, and incredibly knowledgeable. They somehow turned what is typically a very stressful process into a smooth and collaborative one.

We interviewed nine contractors before choosing Talon for what started as a three-bathroom and kitchen renovation and ultimately evolved into a full gut renovation of our home. Talon stood out immediately as the most professional and detail-oriented team we met.
We first connected with Darren in 2023, and his depth of knowledge was apparent from the beginning. He pointed out practical design considerations and code requirements that other contractors had missed. We went back and forth on the scope for over a year, and he was consistently patient, responsive, and generous with his time. He never rushed us and always made himself available to answer questions.

We started construction in August 2025– The construction crew had an excellent work ethic. They arrived early and worked hard – something even our neighbors commented on. They took pride in their work and paid close attention to details. The workmanship was just excellent. The work site was consistently clean and organized.

They did a great job at handling unexpected situations and communicating that to me. Eddie took the time to explain everything thoroughly before moving forward. Even when we made scope changes, they were flexible and incorporated those changes without making it feel stressful or complicated.
And probably the thing that impressed me the most was that they ran the whole project with integrity. They uncovered an improperly vented dryer which was a fire hazard and promptly brought it up to code. There were other moments like this throughout the project- too many to fully capture here – that consistently reinforced how much they value doing things the right way.

I have to mention Eddie who was incredible throughout the entire process. He was calm, responsive and communicated clearly. He seriously made the entire project enjoyable. They were fair and transparent when it came to pricing and change orders. But more than anything, what I appreciated the most was their integrity, professionalism and genuinely caring about doing a good job. Everyone- Ed, Paul, Darren, Eddie and the construction crew were top notch.

We honestly couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. I would highly recommend Talon and would definitely work with them again!”
