Challenge:
To complete an unfinished 1370 sf basement with requirements to include a home bar, full bathroom, arts and crafts room, and a media wall with custom built-ins to provide an ample space for a high end entertainment center.
Solution:
Through our design build process we were able to create a fully functional basement renovation to meet our client’s interests and vision. White custom cabinets with LED accent lighting accentuate the entertainment system. Open shelving displays sports memorabilia surrounding the huge flat screen TV. Base cabinets provide both storage and protection for the numerous stereo components required for the entertainment system. This unique built-in media cabinetry takes up an entire wall of the basement and definitely commands your guest’s attention.
A gorgeous bathroom with full shower, white custom vanity and sterling silver cultured marble top complete with matching brushed nickel finishes for the hardware.
A full walk up wet bar sports a Quartzite counter top complete with a kegerator and under mount sink. Below the surface is a fully functional beverage cooler. The bar wall is made of gray ceramic tile backsplash with free floating glass shelves for bottle display. Of course, a clear glass door to the wine closet is an envious touch your neighbors will be talking about.
White custom trim throughout the main room includes coffered ceilings with crown and detailed decorative molding around all the windows, doors and columns.
The man cave was not complete until the picture framed jerseys of several local sports heroes like Alex Ovechkin of the Capitals, Walt Williams from the Maryland Terrapins and John Riggins the legendary running back from the Washington Redskins have been hung. This is the place your family and friends will want to be.
